Young readers will have a blast figuring out riddles about all the interesting animals that live in Hawaii in “The New What Am I? A Hawaii Animal Guessing Game.”

Every other page of this Mutual Publishing book written by Daniel Harrington and illustrated by Susan Brandt features clues to a mystery animal. Children can quiz themselves or play with friends, and when they are ready, they can simply turn the page to find out its identity. The book is a compilation of the two children’s books “What Am I?” and “What Am I? Vol. 2” featuring the best riddles from each book and including new riddles for kids to solve.

Harrington taught junior high and high school in Hawaii for 17 years. This is his fifth book about Hawaii. Brandt is known for her scientific illustrations and children’s books. Her work can be found in publications, exhibits and private collections. The former Hawaii resident currently lives with her two children in San Diego.
